As usual on 25th of every month, I’m happy to let you know that there is an addition to my free desktop wallpaper collection. This time it is an image from Bryce Canyon National Park (Utah), which I visited almost 2 years ago. Magnificent place! I remember, I was ready to spend days and nights roaming among those rock formations, also known as hoodoos.
I am sure it will not be a surprise for my regular readers that this and older wallpapers with updated calendar are available for download here: Free Desktop Wallpaper Calendars.
Over 100 images form my portfolio are also available as high resolution wallpapers for Android devices. BTW, there were a lot of updates to my Android wallpaper App recently – it now understands Flickr, Facebook and Picasa, so you can use your own images and wallpapers from my collection at the same time.
After long learning curve, tons of mistakes and disappointments, I’ve finally decided to release my first time lapse video. I made it over 5 day’s period while I was visiting a small town Nellim near Lake Inari in Finland last year.
I used Canon 20D with 14mm lens and, I must admit that, it is not really a good choice for night photography – amount of noise is too high, so sorry for a slightly blurry images – I used a lot of noise reduction there.
I hope you like it! Please let me know what you think!
I made this photograph about 3 years ago during the trip to the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas, since then I’ve seen only a handful of sunsets that were at least as dramatic as this one. I’ve just found that there is another scenic event coming up to Port Douglas, even more dramatic than this sunset – total solar eclipse at 6:38 am on November 14, 2012. I think I know where I’m going to be on that date.
As always, this and older wallpapers with updated calendar are available for download here: Free Desktop Wallpaper Calendars. Over 100 images form my portfolio are also available as high resolution wallpapers for Android devices.
With this post I’m happy to announce the latest addition to my free wallpaper collection, it features a photograph from one of my favourite places in New Zealand – Lake Manapouri.  Cathedral Peaks are part of the Kepler Mountains range and located on the northern shore of the lake, which is also known as “lake of many islands”, “rainy lake”, “sorrow heart” and “loveliest Lake of New Zealand”.
As before, this and older wallpapers with updated calendar are available for download here: Free Desktop Wallpaper Calendars. Selected images form my portfolio are also available as high resolution wallpapers for Android phones.
I wrote about this image awhile ago – back then I was bragging that RMIT Gallery chose it to be a part of the “Shelter: On Kindness†exhibition. Now I have another excuse…
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Australian Artist from Queensland Marie Green for permission to use this photograph as an inspiration for her new painting. I happily agreed and since then had been impatiently waiting to see a finished work.
