The New Cobar Open Cut Gold Mine is in a few kilometres from a small mining town – Cobar, NSW. Take a sealed Kidman Way road (left turn off the Barrier Highway if you drive from Sydney) and follow directions to the Fort Bourke Hill Lookout. There will be a left turn onto unsealed road which heads towards the water tank and radio tower.Â

Mt Mackenzie Drive is one of the main tourist attractions of Tenterfield district, small town next to the New South Wales and Queensland border located in the Northern Tablelands.
Tenterfield is a small town 700 kilometres north from Sydney and 270 kilometres south from Brisbane located in the northern part of the New England Tablelands next to the NSW/QLD border. It was established in 1830 when the first white settlers arrived to this area.
Remains of extinct volcano form mountains of the Mount Kaputar National Park.  Signs of the ancient (17-20 millions year ago) volcanic activities, lava terraces and dramatic landscapes surround the peak of the Mount Kaputar that reaches 1510 meters high.
